The brief
A tight under-stair half bath with a sloped ceiling and a pedestal basin that took up most of the floor. The owners run a small business from the house and wanted the room to make an impression on visiting clients.
We went dark, kept the fixtures wall-hung so the floor stays visible, and spent the material budget on one wall of hand-glazed tile.
It is the smallest room in the house and the only one anyone photographs. Six days and it changed how the whole downstairs feels.
