What this actually involves
Stock vanities come in 24, 30, 36, 48 and 60 inch widths. Real bathrooms rarely do. When a wall measures 41 inches, a 36 inch vanity leaves a dead gap and a 48 will not fit, so most people settle. We build to the wall instead.
Our cabinets are made by a shop in Marshall, about 20 minutes north of the studio. Plywood boxes, soft-close hardware, and drawer banks notched around the trap so you get usable depth rather than a false front.
Tops are the part people underestimate. Honed marble is beautiful and will etch under toothpaste. Quartz will not. We will show you both and tell you honestly which one suits how your household lives.

Plywood boxes and solid fronts built to your width, not the nearest stock size.

Templated after the cabinet is set, with a matched backsplash or a tiled wall.
Mirror and lighting
Mirror sized to the vanity and sconces placed at face height, not overhead.

What moves the price
Four things that change the number
These are the decisions we talk through at the measuring visit, because each one moves the figure more than the tile you pick.
Door or drawer fronts
A drawer bank costs more than doors because of hardware and notching, and it is the upgrade clients mention most afterwards.
Top material
Quartz sits in the middle. Honed marble costs more and etches. A solid wood top costs less and needs oiling twice a year.
Double sink
Two basins need 60 inches to feel comfortable. Under that, one basin and more counter is the better room.
Wall condition
Plaster walls in older homes are rarely flat. Scribing a cabinet to a wavy wall is skilled work and adds a few hours.

Questions about this work
Three to four weeks in the shop after you approve the drawing. We schedule the install for the week it arrives so nothing sits in a garage.
Usually. Bring us a photo or a drawer front and the shop will match profile and finish closely. Exact stain matches on old wood are harder and we will say so up front.
Not bad, just honest about what it does. It etches from acidic products and develops a patina. If that bothers you, quartz looks similar and behaves better.
